JTC members and Families, this is the announcement of JTC this month.

 The color belt test schedule is as follows.

(Students who do not test on the testing date, please adjust the schedule to avoid the testing date.)

 This month, the sparring class and the black belt class will be canceled on Friday (May 03,10,17)  due to schedules such as black belt preparation and testing. Please don't be confused.

1.     Color belt Testing – May 22(Wed) & 23(Thur) 2024.

    * Students with names on the testing list must pre-test during the class and receive tapes.

    * Print out and fill out the testing application form.

2. 2022 1st Black Belt Testing Preparation (April 18 ~ 29)

 Our JTC Taekwondo is scheduled to start the 2022 1st Black Belt Preparation in April.                We would like to inform you that the black belt class schedule will be changed as follows during the two weeks of the Black Belt Preparation Class.

·        Monday (18,25) & Wednesday (20,27) 6:20pm – Black Belt Candidates only

·        Tuesday(19,26) & Thursday(21,28) 5:30pm  -- All Brown & Black Belts

·        Friday – (22 &29) No sparring class & BBC class

For October we have a couple of announcements.

1.     Closed for Columbus Day -- Oct. 14 ( Monday )

                  Colsed for Halloween Day -- Oct. 31 (Thursday )

2.     Color belt Testing – Oct. 11, Friday

We have no regular class Friday and Saturday. Children eligible for testing will have their names listed on the entry door to the studio. All children on the list must receive their 4 tapes from an instructor before they will be allowed to test and also get your testing application from Mrs.Kim.   Please, make sure that you wear regular uniform for testing.

3.     2019 2nd Black belt Testing - Oct.12, Saturday

I'd like to begin by congratulating all our candidates for all the hard work they've put in leading up to their test this Saturday.  It's been a long road coming but the big day is finally here.  The test itself will begin at 10:00am sharp.  If you're late, you fail, no exceptions.  Show up early (9:30am) to stretch and warm up on your own, the test is scheduled to run until 1:00pm.  Please make sure your family is here to lend you moral support and to be present when you receive your belt.

June & July Announcement

All JTC family, this is an announcement for June & July.

1.     For June, color belt testing is on Friday June. 07  we have no regular class on Friday nor Saturday.    

2.     JTC Taekwondo will be closed for Independence Day week between June.28 (Friday) and July. 07(Saturday). There will be no tuition-credit for that week, but students are welcome to take extra classes before or after the break to make up the time missed.

3.     For July, color belt testing is on Friday July. 12  we have no regular class on Friday nor Saturday.

Hello everyone!

Here is an announcements for May,

1.  This month’s color belt testing is May 10, 2019 (Fri),

     be sure to arrive at your test 10 minutes early to stretch out and warm up.

     Please return your testing form before the testing day. 

2.   Black belt testing  is May 11, 2019 (Sat),

      I'd like to begin by congratulating all our candidates for all the hard work they've put in leading up   to their test this Saturday.  It's been a long road coming but the big day is finally here.

The test itself will begin at 10:00am sharp.  If you're late, you fail, no exceptions.  Show up early 9:00am to stretch and warm up on your own because when the physical portion of the test begins we'll jumping right into it.  The test is scheduled to run until 2:00pm.  Please make sure your family is here to lend you moral support and to be present when you receive your belt.


3.   May 24(Fri) – May 27(Mon) we will be closed for Memorial Day.

4.  We have SUMMER CAMP for new students and JTC members.

     JTC summer camp for all students.  The camp will be a week session of accelerated training scheduled for the end of summer geared toward giving your child the extra push they need to jump ahead in Taekwondo.  If you're interested, please contact to Mrs. Kim.

     Date  - 1st session : July 15 (Mon) -  July 19 (Fri)

                 2nd session : July 29 (Mon) -  Aug 02 (Fri)

     Time – 10:30am – 12:00pm

     Price –  Per session : JTC member $215   New Student $265 (with uniform)

5. Starting from May we will close the Monday 7:45pm class.

Announcements for April

This is a couple of announcements for April.

1.     Color belt Testing

This Friday (April.12) is the color belt testing day.

We have no regularly scheduled classes Friday and Saturday. Those of you who are testing, please be sure to arrive at your testing time 15 to 30 minutes early to stretch out and warm up. Return your testing form and coins before the testing day.   

2.     Black Belt Preparation

For the next two weeks  (April 02(tue) - 13(Sat), The Tuesday and Thursday 7:45 classes will be dedicated solely to Black Belt preparation. Students who normally come at that time should go to Monday & Wednesday 7:00 class instead. From past experiences, splitting a class with two different focuses has proved to be difficult and distracting. We want to give the Black belt candidates a class when they can completely focus on the necessary materials for their upcoming test.       

3.     Assist instructor Class

We will be having our monthly junior instructor class from 9:30am to 10am on Saturday (April.20).  The class is open to all senior brown belts and black belts and will focus on building strong leadership skills for use in the classroom and in the real world.  The class is just 30 minutes, but all students will be expected to stick around for the 10am to 10:45am class that immediately follows it.

Hello JTC Family,

We have an announcements for February:

1.    Testing for color belt scheduled on Feb.08.(Friday)  and  Closed on Feb.09.(Saturday)    Any children eligible for testing will have their manes listed at the entry door to the studio. If you’re unsure where to find your or your child’s name, please contact Mrs. Kim. All children must receive their 3 tapes from an instructor before they will be allowed to test, so please be sure you or your child gets their tape before the day of the test.

For those of you that are testing please be sure to study the questions in your manual appropriate for your age, and be sure to show up on time.

Please don’t forget when you return the testing application, fill out back of testing application and bring coins that you collected before testing day.

4.     Halloween Party!!

2018 JTC Halloween party coming up October 67th (Friday), from 4pm to 6pm.  We plan to start the night off with some fun games, have a costume contest with prizes, serve food, and end the night by giving out a bunch of Toys and candy!
 Space is limited (Only 70 tickets available), however, so we will be selling tickets to the party.  Tickets will be $10 per person.  Tickets do need to be purchased ahead of time (the deadline is October 20th) so please see Mrs. Kim to ensure you get yours today.   I've posted a signup list on the wall, so please leave your name on the list.

For September we have a couple of announcements.

1.     Closed for Labor Day  -  Sep. 03(Mon) we will be closed.

2.      Black Belt Testing and Preparation.

Please, find the two attached syllabi for this year’s Fall 2018 black belt preparation and testing.

If you are eligible for testing, please see Mrs. Kim right away to pick up your application.

June Announcement

Hello, JTC Family.

1.     For June, color belt testing is on Friday June. 08  we have no regular class on Friday nor Saturday.   Those who are testing, please be sure to arrive at your test 30 minutes (1st group) to 10 minutes (2nd group) early to stretch out and warm up. Please return your testing formand coins before the testing day. 

2.     JTC Taekwondo will be closed for Independence Day week between July.02(Mon) and July. 07(Sat). there will be no tuition-credit for that week, but students are welcome to take extra classes before or after the break to make up the time missed.

During the summer break  we would like to encourage for all students to come the 3:00pm class. This class is normally small so it would be better to come to this class for more practice.
