COVID-19 Response Plan
1. Before entering the Dojang, each member's body temperature will be checked at the entrance. If they have abnormal body temperature or symptoms, they will not be allowed to enter. No student, instructor, or staff member should enter the Dojang if you are not feeling well, or if anyone in their immediate family living with them is not feeling well
2. All students, instructors, and staff members will be required to wear a face mask (that cover both the nose and mouth) while in the Dojang.
3. All students will be required to maintain at least six feet of physical distance from each other while in the Dojang. We will be placing markers on the mats to ensure adequate physical distance is maintained. (These markers separate students anywhere from 7-10 feet of distance.) We limit the number of students to less than 10 per class.
4. Hand sanitizer will be readily available for use by students. Students will be instructed to sanitize their hands frequently.
5. Targets and equipment will be designated to one student and will be disinfected after use.
6. Students should enter the Dojang with their uniform (Dobok) already on.
7. Class sizes will be reduced (under 10 students) in order to maintain proper physical distancing, and all students will be required to register for classes through email by 1 week in advance.
8. For now, due to reduced class sizes, we will be limiting students to one in person class per week. (We will be continuing to offer online classes, and students are welcome to attend as many online classes as they want!)
9. Classes will be 40 minutes in length so that staff members will have time to thoroughly clean and disinfect all surfaces in between classes.
10. For now, in person classes will be focusing more on techniques and curriculum rather than intense physical activity. (physically intense classes will continue online.)
11. Occasionally, some classes may be conducted outdoors (weather permitting).
12. We will be designating one entrance and one exit in Dojang, and will have all students place their shoes near the exit.
13. Absent special circumstances, parents/guardians will not be allowed to remain in the Dojang to observe classes. Parents/guardians should obtain approval to remain in the Dojang prior to their arrival. Parents/Guardians may watch from their car or outside.
14. Children under three years old will not be allowed in the Dojang at any time.
